My daughter was gifted her first thong by her precocious friend when they turned fourteen. At the party-- as his granddaughter opened her gifts-- my father asked if this was a type of hair accessory and proceeded to stretch it over his head. I was gifted my first thong last week as I turned fifty. A generational thong?
