Gen. Clark has really made of fool of himself and now you are in hole with him digging deeper. I know that both of you are FOB&H, but as loyal Democrats must support BHO. Most of us understand partision political support. But to somehow equate the swift boating of Kerry to this is a real stretch. His '71 testimony using the fake JFK accent and lying about the facts of Vietnam with OUR troops still on the ground that showed us his leadership and character. There is obviously a huge experience difference between BHO and JM in the most important role of a president, Commander in Chief. Democrats are doing everything possible to minimize this huge gap. Gen. Clark was clearly attempting to make an argument defending BHO and his "judgement" and minimizing JM service and experience. The fact of the matter is JM has displayed leadership under pressure as a POW. Remember he could have gotten out early, but stayed anyway for FIVE YEARS. That is a real test of leadership, character and judgement. A graduate of the Naval Academy, military family, years of involvment in Congress, etc. It is not a question of patriotism, but who is really qualified to be Commander in Chief. That is John McCain and no matter how hard Gen. Clark tries he can not make a rational agrument to close this gap.
