I have not always agreed with Dick Morris, but I always find his thoughts interesting and informative. I think Dick hit the nail on the head with this article. He is wrong one point though, Europeans are not been practicing appeasement for 50 years is been more like 90 years.
I believe Europe was drained of their best during World War I. With millions of men dead those who were left decided that they would never again fight for their country. Europeans today still have the same thought.
Americans who think of France ready to surrender at the sound of a backfiring car fail to note the number of Frenchmen who died fighting for their country in World War I.
The Europeans have always been jealous of Americans. At a dinner party a Frenchman said to Benjamin Franklin that Americans were shorter than Europeans. Franklin then had the Americans stand and be measured against the French. Every American was taller than the French.
