Let me tell you why I don't like Michelle Obama. The media…… plain and simple. They've put her in our face too many times. I'm so sick of seeing her mug I could scream. It was never reported about the “First Lady” having her official portrait made, until Michelle Obama. If it was it had to be hid on page 392 of the paper. But noooooo, there was such a BIG deal made about it with the Obama's. Just how many times has she “graced” the cover of Time??? There is no mystery about her. People love a mystery. Not someone pushed in your face every day. And come on be honest… Beautiful?? She's anything but beautiful. May I also add… ditto on everything posted by Ted.

Your article on Michelle Obama and how half the people love her and have half don't, well, I'm one of the don'ts.
Yes, her big mistake was when she made the remark she was proud to be American. You seem to down play this but those who saw her make this remark on TV and then see her come back and try to spin it at a later date on TV as not what she meant, I found it totally offensive.
It doesn't matter how M Obama or the media tried to spin it, it still came back as it did the day she first said it. That is, she was not proud to be an American until that day when she said it.
I don't understand why you down played her remarks but I will forever remember those words, as offensive as I found them.

Most popular and admired woman in the world???? Susan you must be hallucinating. We the public are tired of having this abomination shoved down our throats by a biased, misinformed lying inept media. As for whispers, check out the Yahoo Buzz where Michelle has been described as, "King Kong's sister" and "Big Butt".

Amen! My objections are not personally to Michelle Obama; my objections are to the slobbering adulation heaped on her by the media! She's beautiful; she's a fashion icon; she's brilliant! Please. She's a nice looking woman, who photographs well, but ... she has the two-child tummy pouche that on any non-liberal woman would have been decried as slovenly and she DOES have a big butt; fashion icon?! please ... the hideous yellow thing she wore for the inauguration...again on anyone else would have been -- and accurately -- criticized as inappropriate for the event and just plain ugly!; and finally...brilliant? I don't know if she is or not, nor do those in the media who have bestowed this lofty accolade on her. So, I contend that people don't so much dislike Michelle Obama the person; they dislike the character created by the media.

The interesting fact that you said liberal women find her cold is fascinating! I am a conservative, but I think Michelle Obama is a very classy lady. I do not share her political views, but that does not mean that I do not like her. I love the way she dresses, she doesn't conform to the usual style, but is confident enough in who she is to make her own style. I listened to part of her speech at that California College this past weekend and was impressed by it. I wish that I could believe in all of the beautiful rhetoric, but by nature, I am a suspicious person. When I see Obama take over car companies, fire CEO's, reward union members by giving them part of the car company and ruining our capitalistic system, it makes my blood run cold. When Bush was president, all I heard was that the president had too much power! I just wonder what they would say if Bush had done the things that Obama is doing? Interesting!

1. She hitched her wagon to a left wing borderline fascist.
2. Her comment about the "first time"
3. Her attempt to look common by serving the poor wearing $500 sneakers
4. She walks like a gorilla
5. Sleeveless
6. She uses her girls as shills
7. Give me a break on the dog. They're not dog people and what happened to the animal shelter
