The world is full of crap piles, and if you are floundering around in the dark you are bound to step in one...If you start dancing around because of a miss step you will probably step in another pile... It is not a theory of reality I am offering here.... The fact is that fools rush in; but the ability of politics to manipulate politicians is well known...More people are going to die in that rat hole of Afghanistan because no politician can defend so easily as another can attack...It does not matter what makes sense... It does not matter what is right...It does not matter what is best for the country... It does not matter how much it will save...If the action can be painted by the right as ill advised, or cowardice; we will stay, and our soldiers will die...It is a shame... Presidents looking for re-election do not have much power...Politicians do not have much power considering, because the parties have divided the country...United we could do about anything... With a united country, our presidents would be omnipotent... With a divided country every president has to sell, sell, sell; and pick their fights... Afghanistan was not a good fight to pick...If we had not spent so much trying to prop up a puppet we could afford to go back if needed... Holding ground is the most expensive and futile use of an army... Until the consensus of the country tells Mr. Obama to get out, we will lose people and lose credibility....We cannot expect courage from Mr. Obama...
