I'll be honest with you. I'd been giving consideration to third-party candidates. As a conservative with a renewed pledge to bear the legacy of America's Founders, I wasn't going to simply concede to the McCain ticket unless he made a credible (and what might be viewed as a radical) choice for vice president.

Thanks, Chuck. Like you, I am encouraged by Sarah Palin's appointment. Although her daughter's unwed teen pregnancy is not something, I think, that can simply be written off with a casual "so what," like Dick Morris does, Mrs Palin and no doubt Mr Palin are commendably doing their utmost to repair the situation. Maybe the situation will help Mrs Palin to strive to become even more like the "virtuous woman" of Proverbs 31:10, 27 etc. who "looketh well to the ways of her household," a principle that hopefully she will be able to apply for the whole nation as 'Madam Vice President.' I hope, Chuck, that you've sent her a courtesy autographed copy of Black Belt Patriotism.
