I am considered well off by many standards yet I have been able to only afford a vacation once every 7 years over the last 30 years, hang sheets as curtains, and avoid going to the doctor because every time I find a doctor I like and trust my health care removes them from our plan. I have many friends who are at an age where they should be enjoying the fruits of working hard for decades but are instead worried about finding a job, affording health care, being able to sell their house so they can move to a more affordable part of the country, paying for their children's college, etc.

I have been saying since Bush took office that the quality of life for most Americans is going down hill and I have been right. I am amazed that those delivering our news don't see it... oh wait, they don't run with that crowd do they?

This is an amazing spot on piece about why I am an Edwards supporter and why I will urge all fellow Dem. fence sitters to give him the vote. there is one more note to add about why Huckabee and Edwards have hit such strides and running their races with distinction - because of their basic decency and honesty. I don't agree with Huckabee but I like him. Edwards 08!
