This past week, the Bush administration touted that there was a 30 percent drop (from 175,914 in 2005 to 123,833 in 2007) in the number of "chronically homeless" people in the nation — those who are unaccompanied, disabled and have been homeless for longer than one year.

Dear Chuck, thank you and your family for this word of testimony. In a way, for me, it is a reminder of Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

What a wonderful story. I wish you would write more columns like this and stay away from the politics. I could easily become a fan.
