The Fear Factor

by Bill O'Reilly

Fear is driving the presidential election of 2008. Since the economic meltdown in early October, Barack Obama's poll numbers have steadily risen, as millions of Americans are afraid of losing their investments. They fear the federal government has lost control of the financial marketplace and are looking for a white knight to turn the situation around.

Get your Playboy out of your closet and cream it in your jeans, O'Reilly. You've lost. It's over. And after a Republican campaign based solely on trying to turn Obama into every bogey man that could possibly haunt the subconscious of the weak minded, what an idiotic ploy to try and tell us Obama has been benefiting from the "fear factor." What a Stalinesque attempt to rewrite history. Of course, that's the kind of hollow amnesia you always try to peddle. For the record, the factor the aloof, "elitist" Obama is actually benefiting from is competence. People are scared of the whole thing going up in smoke, you betcha, and that makes them not really want another mediocre guy in the Oval Office who was born into privilege and wasted a good part of his life coming to terms with that, even if this one happened to actually put his life on the line in the armed forces instead of wiggling out of it. They like the idea of someone who can hit a home run from home plate without being born on third base, someone with a brain who's been able to get himself from a childhood of zero privilege to representing the best of what America's premier universities are capable of producing. And that's what they're going to get.

Sir;... The country needs more people like you who are willing to say what the future will be... Mr. Mccain will be the president... Americans will not look to Europe or Scandinavia for social examples... I like it.. Don't ask people what they think; tell them what they think... I never thought of that until you made me... The Founding Fathers did not want regulation of business... All that stuff about justice, union, welfare, and tranquility was smoke... Man; you are a master... It was all about money... It was all about profit for a few.... That is what we fought for, and formed this nation around: a hand full of winners and a truck load of losers... Tell me more... If you but say it; I can believe it... Send me the Bill... Thanks... Sweeney
