Well said and true. Our own U-6 unemployment numbers verify the depressing state of affairs.
Sadly, our forefathers did not insert a "One-Term-Only" clause into our Constitution.
Latent corruption has grown since 1789 (special interests even then), was given a huge step up in 1886 ("Citizenship" for Corporations), took a giant leap forward in the government-funded buildup for WW2, then jumped even higher in the CEO-led and Congressionally-supported race to the bottom for cheap global labor at the expense of our Middle Class. And all this is sustained and perpetuated by elected officials who enter Government "service" not to help their country or share their good fortune, but rather to gain a fine way of life without having to work or meet a payroll. And most of us do not understand the need to: NEVER RE-ELECT ANYONE.

Tomorrow I'll be calling "my" representatives, Sens. Boxer and Feinstein and Congressman Dreier and among the many topics I'll discuss will be this phoney economy and equaly delusional recovery. I'll end by saying since they're such big supporters of the global economy (read rush to the bottom), I'll suggest we open their positions up to foreign competition, too. I'd love to be able to pay someone from Indonesia or the Ukraine $11.69 per hour with no health care to stab this nation in the back as the political ruling class has done for so long and at such exorbitant compensation.
