Ma'am; ... The drug war is a failure because the when the state grows powerful enough to control everyones behavior, it does nothing to improve their lives, so people feel all the more like drowning their pain and frustration in drug addiction... So, what do you expect??? Do you expect that when people at the highest reaches of government, and business don't care, and cannot bring themselves to behave as though there is a future, and consequences to irresponsible behavior; that the poor should who only have their short, meaningless, dead end lives... I'd recommend you get your head out of your megaphone, and get out, and check out the hand to mouth existences of the poor... Just remember that everybody hates a tourist... Sniff around with that aire of judgment and rightous indignation; or dare to forgive them, and they might leave you lying bleeding in the gutter...Better keep your distance.... Try to realize from a long way off that those people are the way they are because their society is failing them...Your world doesn't really want them to sober up and straighten out... They want an excuse to punish, exclude, and deny... If you want people to not take drugs give them lives of meaning... People do not just have meaningful lives because they don't take drugs, but don't take drugs because they have meaningful lives... Happy people don't seek out drugs... The miserable cannot get to them fast enough... God forbid that we would have to give to people the justice necessary to any meaningful existence.... God forbid our providing kids something besides dead ends and brick walls... Now everyone is in the same world...Now everyone will take what they can get... They will put a big sign over the gate saying that work makes free, and no one will believe it... In my opinion, People will take nonsense just as long as it gives them a boost, but after that they need hard drugs... Thanks...Sweeney
