The recent book about Rumsfeld's memo that openned the door to "torture" is incredibly absurd, at least in tracing the problem to one Rumsfeld memo, where he writes: Let them stand for more than 4 hours a day. I stand 8. (Or something close to this.). It is hard for me to believe that this writer believes it is torture to have inmates stand for 8 hours.
