William Murchison vs. Reality
In this article, William Murchison spins a web of blasphemy that must be compelling to Republicans, Baptists, the Christian Right & gay-bashers in general. I'm sure that it's exactly what these folks need to read right now, so that they can find some comfort and coalition against the recent California Supreme Court decision to not block same-sex marriage.
In "reality," Murchison's article is nothing more than homophobic fluff, moral posturing, and a false pretense of knowing what God wants from Americans on a daily basis.
Why are religious conservatives so determined to set up ethical road-blocks to people that are not like themselves? Why are they so twisted up about legal actions that don't concern them, but that may be of great benefit to others?
What would Jesus do? Like Harry Potter's recently-outed Professor Dumbledore, I think that Jesus would like to know there was a little more love in the world. I think he'd recommend a feast, or maybe even a big gay wedding reception.
