I agree with all that you are saying... however, I am not hearing any solutions for my specific situation. I was forced to resign from a 10 year career due to forces beyond my control and now have to finance my own healthcare... which I am more than able and willing to do... I was denied healthcare from Aetna for the following reasons: 1( BMI is too high (I weigh 188 and am 5'4") 2) Previous treatment for anxiety (I was shot in the face two years ago by my former spouse and needed treatment for post-traumatic stress syndrome... I am now off all medication). They denied me coverage for these "pre-existing conditions." I am willing to pay for insurance... I am not looking for a handout from anyone... but they won't accept me! I don't have cancer, I don't have diabetes... basically, I'm too fat and was a victim of domestic violence! Oh and one more thing... I make too much money to qualify for medicaid (which I don't want anyways... I would like to pay for my own insurance!)

I hear all of your arguments... but where are the solutions?
