For me, this is a non-issue. Hardly worth your time to write and a waste of my eyesight to read.

How funny, I was just saying the EXACT SAME THING!!!
What If Palin Had Gone Shopping at Loehmann's for Clothes? (http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/22271/58655-palin-gone-shopping-loehmann-s-clothes-/4 )
Even Loehmann's says it: (http://blog.loehmanns.com/one-word-for-sarah-palins-clothes-loehmanns)
And I totally agree... she should have said NO!

I'm sorry, Susan, for what you didn't say. I never read that you would have done in her place what you insist Palin should have done. I suspect, from your experiences, so poignantly presented, that you would have been too excited about the prospect of being lavished with such expensive beauty and attention even to allow yourself to question in your own mind the possible legality or appropriateness of it. I'm afraid, Susan, that your posting appears to have been written in a font that is a bit too "green".

You forgot to mention that Sarah Palin is not keeping the clothes but they will be auctioned for charity. Why not discuss important issues like Obama's medicaid insurance for everyone, Capital tax increase and please mention that when Bush's tax cut is over that will be an increase in taxes for everyone. I like how rich was first described as 250,000 then it was 200,000 and Biden's last speech it was 150,000. HOW LOW WILL HE GO!!!. Corporate taxes will increase the movement of corporations out of this country and I love how Obama preaches that he wants to increase jobs and encourage corporations to stay (HELLO). The old products of the radical 60's are trying to bring socialism into our country and control our lives. Please write an article about the weathermen that you now support through Obama. Explain to me how the democrats want to get rid of our 504 plans and make it government controlled. Susan I can not believe how Americans are falling for Obama and his change. I have to believe they are not reading his policies and just taking the media's word for everything. WHEN YOU VOTE PLEASE VOTE WITH KNOWLEDGE. YOU HAVE A CHOICE. SOCIALISM OR DEMOCRACY AND CONTROL OF YOUR OWN LIFE AND MONEY.

Can you imagine in between campaign stops, debates and speeches Palin wading through the racks at TJ Maxx or Loehmans to find a matching skirt and blazer in the size she needs. C'mon, it is clear, she and her family got the call and hit the ground running. I am sure that the campaign went out and "took care" of a lot of details like the wardrobe so she could focus on something more important. Michelle Obama's husband has been running for this office for two years and she has had plenty of time to prepare....Palin has been in this race for what 2 monthes? Seriously, this is so silly.

Susan I think the RNC did themselves a disservice on the clothes issue, but, at least they reported the expenditure. We then had Michelle Obama go on the Jay Leno show and tell the world she buys online mostly and from J. Crews trying hard to show how she is careful on what she spends for clothes. I know for sure the liberal crowd bought this hook line and sinker, but, it was simply a ploy by the democrats. I am wondering if the Obama campaign is buying food for the people showing up at the rallies as $44 million is a lot of money for food.

I've never responded to an article before, but this one, today, deserves a response in Sarah Palin's behalf. She hasa few things on her mind now, so it's understandable that she might not question each price tag as the garments were purchased, especially since she'e not going to keep any of the clothing. I'm more disturbed at the huge amounts of campaign funds used by Obama to use a 757 Plane to fly to Hawaii twice which cost $400,000 per trip.

Palin and family became known approximately 7 weeks ago. I'm sure she didn't have the wardrobe that was needed to run a successful campaign. There's an old saying "the clothes make the man." In this case Palin needed the clothes and the RNC responded. Good for them! I really don't see a problem with providing clothes for her and her family. It's all part of the grand scheme of putting forth a candidate in the best light. After all, in Alaska she probably campaigned in fleece and parkas and never worried about clothes making a difference.
With all the concern about the cost of these items, has the media dwelled on the fact that more than half of the clothes will be brought back (different sizes purchased) and money returned? Also, the clothes she is wearing will be auctioned for charity at the conclusion of the campaign.
Just curious....how much did the Obama spectacle cost at the stadium?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the democrats and the liberal Obama-mania media spent days upon days writing about this, when we have Obama connected to Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Rezco, ACORN, Khalidi, and who knows who else. The media's failure to investigate and report on Obama's questionable (at the very least) associations is a travesty. Why hasn't he ever released his medical records or his records from Harvard? Why has the state of Hawaii got his supposed birth certificate sealed? Why won't the LA Times release the video tape of Obama and Ayers at the party for Khalidi? These are the questions, among others, that America and the press should be asking themselves. God help us all.

Are you kidding? SHE didn't buy the stuff a shopper did and they bought a range of clothing in sizes and styles because Gov Palin wasn't present. The clothing was bought for the convention and because of the last minute timing of it all it was a realistic approach. We all know how much criticism she'd have gotten if she was dressed in bargain clothing, laughable that liberals keep suggesting she should be in WalMart issue. I can hear it now, "How can she talk to foreign leaders dressed like that?", "If she doesn't have the sense to dress herself properly how can she have the sense to run a country?" etc. Get the facts straight if you're going to try to pass yourself off as a journalist. Oh, nevermind, that's not a requirement anymore.
