Souter, Specter and a Soft Shoe

Souter & Specter sounds like a vaudeville song and dance team, stuck in Cleveland and still dreaming of playing the Palace. You can almost hear their Peoria humor and see their old soft shoe.

What goes around comes around Fields. Spine free Specter can't walk upright, but he can sure slither in whatever direction best serves the times. You still don't get that the actual character assassination Specter dished out to Ms. Hill, who was merely reporting her experience with a judge being elevated to the highest court in the land, was no act of principle--just a play to the highest bidder. Too bad the nation never got to see the same kind of withering cross examination imposed on Thomas. He wouldn't be where he is now if we had.
