Although you and I are opposite on who we support, once again I thank you for your balanced view. You typically call it like it is from both sides. How could Hilary stand there and smile while Hastings said this stuff? Sad day for her. Thanks for telling the truth, Susan.

Susan,
I usually disagree with you politically but you are always intellectually honest, which is why you are one of the few liberal columnists that I read regularly.

I enjoyed your column, as I usually do. Just the same, I think that you are unfairly dismissive of those of us who have difficulty distinguishing between Jews and moose.
The National Jewish Democratic Council was clearly ill-advised in inviting Hastings to speak. It would have been far more constructive if they had instead used this time to remind its membership of the dangers of lingering on rural roads after dark.

As a conservative Susan is one of a handful of intellectually honest liberals that I really respect. Love the column. I thought maybe Rep. Hastings was attempting to do Woody Allen's Moose routine. Here it is on youtube. It is worth watching, very funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmnLRVWgnXU

Susan, I alway read your articles but I have to say I question your motives on this one. I read about Bill Clinton talking postively about Sarah Palin and now you. I believe this is for Hillary and her next run for President in 4yrs. I still challenge you to write a honest article about the banking crisis and who really is at fault. As you know the democrats with a few republicans would be named and should be prosecuted. To watch Dodd on TV talking about this when he and many democrats (Obama, Schumer, Rengal and Dodd himself along with Bill Clinton are to blame) is a disgrace. I don't know how they can sleep at night or are able to look themselves in a mirror.

The word my dear Susan is field dress. You field dress an animal after you kill it. In the military you field strip a cigarette butt (or at least you did in the old days before the smoking nazis came along). So your distinguished Mr. Hastings is dumber than you thought.
I look at some of these posts and I have to ask, why doesn't Bill Clinton just come out and say that he is going to vote for John McCain? Or is that some sort of October surprise? I mean we have stories about how Palin's husband is not a Republican so why can't Bubba just say that he and his wife disagree over Obama. ( are they buying this?) That way Hillary can vote her conscience (Go McCain) and Bubba can honestly (is that an oxymoron?) can vote his.
