I would agree with you, but I won't. I am 60 and I served in the military in 1969, I was refused addmission into the Army because of a slight hearing problem that I have. I went around the corner and joined the USMC and stayed for my 2 years active and then went on for 6 more years in the reserve. Now you said that you were making 400 dollars a month and the service pay was 68 dollars, how much did you pay for clothes,food , housing and medical while in the service. Go Figure, and then not only that, there were several people that went on to become officers and made good money with benefits. oh I left out schooling, how much do you pay for schooling now.
I don't mean to bust your chops bad but you have to weigh the good and the bad, if i was able now to go back in, I would, I not only served my country, I set an example for my kids and grand kids who will soon be in the service soon.
