I have been reading your opinion essays for weeks in our local newspaper. I have been struck with how extremely negative you are with anything that has to do with Barack Obama. Absolutely nothing is written in your column remotely nice about Senator Obama. I guess that is your opinion, therefore, anything I have to say to you in that regard would be futile.
I am a woman who has a difficult issue with Sarah Palin as our potential vice-president. You know how when you have a "bad" feeling about someone or something, but are unable to figure out what it is, and for the most part you find out you were "right"? That is how I feel about Ms. Palin. There is something really weird about how of all the potential women in the political arena, who are by far more qualified to be running with Senator McCain than Palin, she was the one chosen. I do NOT feel that McCain chose her. I believe he was TOLD to chose her because she is a woman, young, and quite attractive and the Republicans feel that more men will vote for her because of these reasons. It is also believed that more women will vote for her because those who were previously wanting Senator Clinton, will vote for her simply because she is woman. Do they really think we (women) are that stupid?
In your most recent column in today, Oct. 22 issue of the local paper, you state, "In other words , the media themselves helped create the charged atmosphere in which some people give misleading answers to..." Do you not consider yourself part of the "media"? Do you not feel that you are influencing people with your definitely one-sided opinion? I guess that is your plan. I wonder if you are being paid by the Republican Party...
