Your "random thoughts" have provided me with "food for thought". You are an astute observer of the obvious. Your gift is being able to gather those random thoughts and put them down on paper in a lucid, objective manner.

I agree that Gen Powell would have been a great candidate. After reading your column, this white boy that when to high school in the mountains of Va in the 60's, thinks that maybe you would be a better candidate that what we have to choose from.
