Ma'am... Get off the shot glasses, and try to understand that the democrats are not hawks at all... They fight out of necessity, and in this case political necessity...They are purely stupid if they have not got the sense to lay out the facts to the American people and admit that we cannot afford this war and are being beaten for no possible gain... They lack the courage exactly for the reason you make evident, that if one spends all their effort and time refuting false charges they will accomplish nothing...It is better for them to stand by while our military is ground to pieces than to defend doing the right thing to the right field, and to all the blowhards that level baseless charges against them...I have never sworn an oath to uphold the constitution, and perhaps I never shall... From my perspective, most of those who swear such an oath never abide by it for a moment... If I swore such an oath you can bet I would not see any American in harms way out of fear of the right, and their gaggle of geese pecking at my actions... Those who lack the courage to defend their actions and to go on the atttack against the fools who have run this country into every available ditch, and point out their criminal behavior, which is your criminal behavior, giving support and comfort to the domestic enemies of this country and this people- are not fit for leadership... Plato had Socrates rail at the Athenian leaders for not making the people more virtuous...I offer the same charge to you, to Mr. Obama, and Mr. Bush: How can anyone expect virtue if they will not give truth???Who will dare tell the people that it is not just, or cheap, or virtuous to attack ones world neighbors???Who will tell them when victory is unlikely, and that the time has come to wrap up and come home??? Divided government has given us government top heavy and fearful of every tremor, and change in the wind... So people like yourself knowing nothing of death demand that young people die for no end, and no gain, and effectively push government toward doing the wrong thing...Paranoia suggests there are some people who do not want good from government, and want government to be divided and unable to do good... But government in such a condition cannot resist any push to do wrong to others without our protection of rights... And government in such a condition cannot defend itself in its desire to do the right and the good for this people and the world... So we persist in stupidity, and does that gain your support, or do you only find another cause for antagonism... Where were you on the subject of pursuing pointless war under Mr. Bush??? Can you tell the truth and not be shamed???Thanks...Sweeney
