Ma'am;.. The future leaves us all behind; and some further behind than most... It is because some people cannot let go of the past, and yet sooner or later they must... Those who find meaning in the past should remember that it is not the past which has meaning, but life, and life gives meaning to all.... We give meaning to the forms of life... We think by clutching these forms we give meaning to, that we will have meaning, but when we die, we find nothing but life has meaning... Now; party, politics, power, property, wealth, and all things, really, are forms, and all forms are forms of relationship... We see the world by the same lens of forms that we relate through... And when humanity progresses, it always progresses with a change of forms... Jefferson says so in the Declaration of Independence. It is true always... People do not change... Forms are changed by people, and people progress by way of forms... What people say of Mr. Obama, I sincerely hope is true... I hope he is trans-form-ational figure... I hope he can re-form our government to one less easily led into debt, or war, or injustice...I hope he can transform this distant, alienated people into a nation... We do have to get over this election.... We have to get over the form of race to define ourselves... We have to get aways fromthe form of economy and property that divides and weakens us... We have to see with what strength people cling to their guns and their religion exactly because newer forms do not meet their needs... We have to understand how this presidential election points out the unfinished business of bringing equality to the races, and a genuine acceptence of liberty and justice and democracy as forms essential for all...
