Sir;...What you are suggesting will never ever ever happen... There will be no war crime prosecutions, and no prosecutions of any sort... Their interests are not so much in slapping the hands in the last administration as in keeping their own hands as free as possible.... That is the charm of power, that once people touch it, it warps every sense of morality and virtue... It become not something, but everything.... Ask why people torture.... Ask why people go to war or murder... The answer is simple...Power whispers loving words in their ears, and they do as they are told...There will be no presecutions... There will be the endless pursuit of power, as ever...They do not realize that what they do to protect their power diminishes their authority until someday they will find they have only power, without the right to use it...Look at the facts... Nixon was pardoned, and no one took a lesson from it... Reagan could not remember, and everyone else forgot, and when he died he was buried like a king...He was a criminal or an idiot, but he was no king....
