Desr Mr. Buchanan, seems to me that right wing conservatives, such as yourself, conveniently forget the remarks of your favorite preacher, Jerry Falwell, after 9/11 - God sent 9/11 to punish Gays and other sinners...

I am sicken by the high-tech lynching of Senator Obama.
Rev Wrights's comments were taken out of CONTEXT. One only needs to listen to the ENTRE videos to determine that. In one video he was referring to the old testament where God proclaimed damnation to those countries who tormented other countries and mistreated its' inhabitants. Rev Wright's Assistant Pastor explains that very well, but of course that video is not getting any air. Senator Obama because of his church affiliation can unite this country. How can one unity if they don't understand those things which divide us. He is the progressive voice of Civil Rights. Rev Wright among Black people represent the voice of the 1960's. Some of that time period of still angry and rightly so. White people have no idea how deep the scares of discrimination remain. Greta mention she for the first time was offended....... can you image what slavery did to our souls?
Also, RESEARCH the intent of Black and Afro-centric churches. Civil Rights began in churches [ Dr. King] and STILL exist there because we as Black folks STILL experience discrimination. Our churches have always sought to empower us via a combination of scripture, self-reliance and a strong Black family value system. We are NOT hating on any one group. As you know Black folks are the most forgiving folks there are. Actually, what Rev Wright said about Hillary is true. If it were not for Black churches speaking truth to power in a non-violent manner, we probably would still have dogs attacking us for peaceful demonstrations and the KKK lynching our women, men and children. We allowed white folks into the culture of our churches and now they are critiquing and condemning us for wanting to become self-sufficient. Isn't that what they wanted us to do??? Can we not have anything that belongs to us and NOT validated by white folks.? Not to mention during slavery they didn't even "allow" us to practice "their" religion or our native religion.
FOX NEWS, especially Shawn Hannity and now you Mr. Buchanan has been on a vicious campaign to derail Senator's Obama election. I am sure FOX went through hundreds of Rev. Wright's sermons and eclipsed a few of them because that's ALL that existed.... that they could use.... out of a 35 year career of preaching. You should read the blogs on the Internet. The hateful and racist things being said about Senator Obama and Michele. Some have even suggested their children be taken from them. Michele also speaks the truth, I too felt marginalized at a white college, always made to feel inferiority. I too feel for the first time " really" proud of America's electoral process to support a person of color and a woman for presidency.
Obama has united this country and has given me hope that we can begin to transcend a racist and class society. As a Black man, he is putting his life at risk to make that a reality. Do people not know that?
I am convinced the videos on Rev. Wright will strengthen Senator's Obama election. Good ALWAYS prevails over evil.
God bless

Re: elzora holland
My grandfather was a member of the 1st black Marine unit and fought in WWII, My brother went to Viet Nam, My son to the Navy. Race in America is a complex matter. Downtrodden people who still seek to be a real part of this great country and can be angry and proud Americans at the same time. Pat Buchanan understands that. He only pretends to be simple-minded. It furthers his political agenda.
I really find remarks of people like Pat Buchanan and others of his persuasion offensive when they pretend to believe that the comments of Rev. Wright on three sermons that have been shown on video are the sole content of the messages he has preached from his pulpit every Sunday for 20 years. These sermons are videotaped because the church videotapes sermons every Sunday. Why isn't the media showing, and why aren't those so anxious to condemn, listening to or talking about his other 99% of his sermons. In 20 years, he would have preached over 1000 sermons. If he had been spewing this anger on a regular basis, there would be dozens, scores of sermons to show, not just three! Why pretend you believe Obama has been sitting in church listening to vitriolic sermons about the perceived misdeeds of white Americans and America EVERY SINGlE SUNDAY for TWENTY YEARS!!!!!! Pat Buchanan, and others, know this isn't true. What did Pastor Wright preach about at the Obama Wedding, at their children's Christening? At the many univerisities and seminaries where he has spoken by invitation over 20 years????? I am certain some of those sermons are just as retrievable as the three that are being replayed over an over again. Of course, it is politically advantageous to pretend that these three short pieces of tape are what the man has preached for 20 years and that Obama has been listening to this every Sunday for 20 years--and not to even TRY to hear or talk about about any of the other 99% of what he has said.
Moreover, Obama never said he heard these 3 sermons. He said he has heard some controversial things, and some things he vehemently disagreed with. But what DID he hear that kept him in that church?????? If one cared about the truth, which those with a political agenda don't, you would ask that question. Instead, they pretend. They pretend that they believe that this man has preached every Sunday for 20 years these angry and awful messages you heard on 3 pieces of 3 sermons????!!!!!! They don't believe that. They just SAY they do. And they purposely speak as if that were the case, when they KNOW it wasn't!!!!!!! To what university or seminary would he have been invited, if that were the case? The United Church of Christ (to which I belong), a largely white church, would have removed him long ago, were he the hate-monger they try to make him out to be. They are guilty of propagandizing, who do this. And over the next months or as long as they can, you will hear the same verbatim argument from the right, a practiced, rehearsed position: propaganda.
Finally, all that he has said in the pieces of the sermon Pat Buchanan chooses to quote in his artice is NOT false.
How can any American deny the truth of what he has said at some point in recent history. At some point in recent history NO black man could have been President. No black woman was valued for anything. At some PLACES in this country that is still very true, especially in places like "Dear Hunter" country. A black man has been dragged to death behing a truck in Texas--in THIS decade. A black man has been shot on the street for walking with a white woman--IN the last decade. The US DID support Apartheid South Africa and US officials DID oppose freeing Mandela from jail. And Malcolm X and Elijah Mohammed DID speak for many African Americans. What does Mr. Buchanan think????? that black Americans have learned to be HAPPY about their treatment in this country. I am 61 years old. I remember "white" and "colored" signs, and Jim Crow cars on the train. And YES, I am still plenty angry about it. So if I am not happy about the oppression I and my forefathers endured in this country, and I dare to be angry, I am anti-American and Afroracist???????
My grandfather was a member of the 1st black Marine unit and fought in WWII, My brother went to Viet Nam, My son to the Navy. Race in America is a complex matter. Downtrodden people who still seek to be a real part of this great country and can be angry and proud Americans at the same time. Pat Buchanan understands that. He only pretends to be simple-minded. It furthers his political agend. And, of course, he is not nor never really has listened to Black America.

The Pastor is right! And I am a white Republican who never voted for G.W. Bush because I have the brains to despise him and his ideas that we can stomp on other sovereign countries. Let's admit the fact that he (Paster Wright) IS right. Let's remember who voted to get us in to an illegal war. Let's not loose site of that!

Shame on you, "Reverend" Buchanan, for what you are trying to do. You will answer to God for your deceitful conduct, a characteristic of persons under satanic influence. You know as well as I do that Rev. Wright's remark's are no more anti-semitic than God's comment in II Chronicles or elsewhere is anti-Semitic or Paul's comment in Galatians 6:7 is anti-Christian. Jeremiah Wright was simply speaking prophetically about the reciprocity of wrongdoing committed by any person or nation. In your more courageous days, you isued a few prohetic warnings to America yourself. Dig deeply into your video archives and rediscover your former prophetic self. You will surely be amazed at how "anti-American" you use to be before you traded in your commitment to prophecy for politics and profits. Shame on you!

Rush Limbuagh has launched what he calls "operation chaos" against Democrats. The evil, deceptive, and definitely conservative scheme includes creating havoc among Democrats by influencing Republicans to cross over to vote for Hillary, whom it is no secret that many despise. How strange it is that Conservatives have a lot less negative to say about the "beloved" candidate that they use to often refer to as Hillary "Rotten" Clinton. How underhanded, hypocritical, and unethical, of those who claim to be bearing the banner of moral virtue. Someone needs to secure the tape of Rush's show, aired yesterday on am, radio stations across the country, and aire it nationally to expose this sleezy and desperate thirst for power.

It's interesting that you are all allowed to comment on this site. I went to the Obama websites and asked some simple questions about Obama, and stated that I believed he was a liar. I was retaliated on with profanity, and told "bye bye Troll' and then blocked from making posts. There is no doubt prejudice exists in this country for many people of various "colors", just the same there are millions of us who wake every day and don't think color. Obama chose to have a member of his campaign staff that is a flagrant racist. Jeremiah Wright is entitled to his opinions. He has severely sinned in the pulpit however. He is Obama's choice. I hope he is BHO's achiles heel. I personally don't want this country divided by race. And just how is Obama going to bring people together other than to vote for him?
