Good article, and just because I don't agree with Nancy P, or Mr. O. doesn't make me a terrorist. Mr. O and his gang must not like our right to freedom of speech or intelligent thinking. It would be wonderful if our school would start turning out intelligent thinkers again, socialism is seeking ignorant people to run over and control.

All too many of our elected officials use this tactic of name calling as you have pointed out. It is a last resort tactic showing adolescent imaturity.
Soon, one expects to see Senators and Congressmen hopping about and stamping their feet. I believe Howard and Barney have already succummed.

Did you see Sarah Palin's op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal's online September 8th edition? In it she says that in an April 2009 interview with the New York Times, President Obama talked about Congress creating an Independent Medicare Advisory Council (note: unelected) which would look at that "huge driver of cost...the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives...." This is evidently the statement that prompted the "death panels" conclusion, which seems a reasonable conclusion to me. However, the President and other liberals cited this as a conservative scare tactic. If this conclusion is wrong, I would like the President to elaborate (and not in his usual overgeneralizing and vague way) on what he meant by the "huge driver of cost" context. Mr. O'Reilly, thank you for pushing him on-the-air and in print to be more specific about what his proposals will truly entail. The fact that he refuses to do this, however, is quite disturbing.
