Oooh, The New Politics

by Mona Charen

I am so excited by Barack Obama's new politics. Like Chris Matthews, I got a thrill down my leg when the senator announced his candidacy promising a "new kind of politics." As I recall, he said, "Our leaders in Washington seem incapable of working together in a practical, commonsense way. Politics has become so bitter and partisan, so gummed up by money and influence, that we can't tackle the big problems that demand solutions. And that's what we have to change first." Goo ...

What a lazily written article! Obviously, Barack Obama leaves himself wide open when trying to aspire to the "high road". Hold him accountable, but please be factual. Our country is in a terrible place on so many levels. The partisan divide is toxic and offers all politicians any easy excuse not to do the hard work necessary to move this country forward. Do some work Mona engage in the issues you may learn something!

Dear Mona Charen, you can't be serious. Barack is a FRAUD. Have you researched and checked him out. Are you aware that he says one thing one time and completely different another time. He claims he voted on all the issues in the Senate and this is a bold face lie. He NEVER VOTED....he only said PRESENT. MY DEAR MONA, THIS IS NOT A VOTE. WAKE UP DEAR MONA. THIS MAN WILL WITHOUT QUESTION RUIN THIS COUNTRY. UNFORTNATELY, THE PUNDITS, DO NOT HAVE THE COURAGE TO SPEAK THE TRUTH AND FACTS ABOUT THIS MAN. WHY????THEY ARE AFRAID THEY WILL BE CALLED A RACIST. RIDICULOUS. IF ANYONE IS A RACIST IT BARACK OBAMA AND HIS PRETENTIOUS WIFE. YOU SOUND LIKE A WOMAN THAT HAS BEEN HYPNOTIZED AND CANNOT THINK CLEARLY. I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR THIS MAN. I HAVE BEEN A DEMOCRAT ALL MY LIFE BUT I WOULD RATHER HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF GEORGE BUSH THAN THIS DANGEROUS, DECEITFUL MAN.

OBAMA is a fraud and 'HIS CHANGE' will finish bankrupting America! He continues to ‘stretch the truth about his background.' His ties to certain people, including his church that brainwashed him for over twenty (20) years, need to think about 'He has no experience, no knowledge, has never served our country, and certainly not a good background, and with his 'constant remarks about what he will do', tends to make you wonder? As for “House approves Foreclosure Bill”! Government seeks to burden Taxpayers, once again, so they can ‘bail out' the foreclosures and mortgage companies, thus letting government agencies purchase these properties!” Hasn't there been enough problems with Fannie Mae, FHA, HUD, and other government agencies that need to be eliminated in the first place to stop all this excessive spending? 'FAIR TAX & CHANGE VOTING LAWS' are the only changes America needs. Taxpayers, of all races and party affiliations, solutions to eliminating property taxes, public schools, colleges, pet projects, housing projects, welfare, public health, people living off ystem, and non-profit organizations. With Americans paying the same taxes, there would be no more Discrimination. What a concept!

Please follow up on this part of the article: " When he released a list of earmarks he had requested over the past three years in the U.S. Senate, he was being open and honest about the favors he has done. Some might say that $740 million is hardly worth mentioning in the context of the huge federal budget. And if $1 million went to the hospital that happens to employ Mrs. Obama, well, that's because she looks incredible in a black-and-white print sundress." What has Obama actually voted for, legistlated for, and approved of like the $740 million mentioned in the opinion? The $1 milllion to a hospital needs further explaination. also. Could this money have been allocated to the hospital every year or was the money only allocated the one year?
