The WAR ON DRUGS commentary in the Obama article was spot on. How I wish Barack could say the things you did. Not only him, but our whole bureaucracy needs to here this loud and clear! Jan. 13, 1998 Milton Friedman in the International Herald Tribune wrote an article entitled: A MORALLY BANKRUPT DRUG WAR. His final paragraph was:
"Can any policy, however high-minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption, imprisons so many, has so racist an effect, destroys our inner cities, wreaks havoc on misguided and vulnerable individuals, and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?"
