"42 percent of Canadians with colon cancer die, while 31 percent of Americans, who have access to these two medications, survive the disease."
Heck, with odds like this, I'd fet treated in Canada in a heartbeat! There, 58% survive. Compared to 31% of Americans, that's great odds!

I assume that's a typo?

What is FREE about Medicare?? Yes, the hospitalization portion, Medicare A. Medicare B, the part that covers doctor visits costs Abt $98 a month. I say about because it is taken out of the Social Security check automatically.
Most people think this is good, and for a lot of people it may be. BUT my husband is retried military, I was covered under Tricare Prime. Having to go on Medicare at age 65, it cost us $500 a year MORE in premiums.
Medicare DOES NOT cover all your care either. There is $135.00 Deductible, then there is amount that medicare ACCEPTS, of that medicare only Pays a percentage, patient pays the rest. Here is an example:
4/2 procedure: Anesthesia - $248.40, medicare approve $70.49, - at this point it is important to know (before hand) if provider accepts Medicare, if not they can charge you the difference. Medicare percentage to pay $56.39 leaving me $19.10. So now, not only did I pay Medicare that $98.00 monthly premium, I also have a bill to pay provider of $19.10( because my provider accepts Medicare). Since this was an outpatient surgery, all procedures together, left $96.00 for me to pay. THAT is why people need to have a Medicare Supplement. FREE - do not think so!!!
