Obama Avoids the Crocodile

by Pat Buchanan

By reversing himself and refusing to release graphic photos of abused prisoners of war, Barack Obama has stunned liberals.

They feel betrayed and abandoned by a president they put into office. On war and torture, at least, they thought Barack was one of them. He is not. Barack is not into ideology. He is into Barack.

As he showed in 2008, when he threw his white grandmother under the bus and spared his beloved black pastor, the Rev. Wright, then threw Wright under the bus when h ...

I sometimes wonder if Pat is an authentic Catholic..The way he conducts witch hunts as a lackey for the Republican Party. Also, I wonder how he explains the fact that Catholucs haven't taken care of the born (re their Pastors molesting small boys in their churches) The church hasn't taken care of the born as well as it has taken care of the unborn......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"It was ideology that led FDR and New Deal liberals to ... defend Alger Hiss and deny the government was shot through with security risks and Soviet spies..." Interesting take. Another possibility is that the few who had access to the security information were just covering their you-know-whats, while the majority actually believed that Hiss and the rest were innocent. For more on this, see: http://www.conservapedia.com/Alger_Hiss

Sir;...Let Mr. Obama stun the liberals.. That only means he is an idiot..He needs the liberal vote... The reactionaries are not ever going to vote for him, so if I don't vote for him he has lost a sure thing for a pipe dream...He wants to work with conservatives...He ought to spend every moment of every day trying so shore up his base, and in putting all the republican dirt up the noses of republican voters... Show them...Lay those crimes at their feet, and and make them deny they occured... In showing that lack of courage he has not gained a single republican vote... He has taken bad advice, and he has taken bad advice on a number of issues...What good is the power of a king with corrupt advice, or the advice of idiots??? He is showing his nature... Just as he can pass for black or white, he is trying now to pass for conservative with conservatives... They will not buy it... No matter how his says it; peace and cooperation and understanding do not sound like shibboleth....Thanks...Sweeney

Re: Frances Sue Moore;...Ma'am, try to remember that at least one of those Catholic men likes women...I am certain that if the church let priests marry, their wives could keep the priests off the children...The one advantage to no wives was that it made the Church a meritocracy... While all the rest of society was, and still is ruining itself trying to replace the need for merit with hereditary wealth and power, the Catholic Church survived on ability... It is too bad the able were not more willing to wait for their eternal reward...They only need more faith and less authority...Thanks...Sweeney

"I can no more disown him, than I can disown my white grandmother, a woman who helped raise me. A woman who sacrificed again and again for me. A woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world. But a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who pass her on the street, and who, on more than one occasion, has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe. These people are part of me." If you think that's throwing her under the bus, Buchanan, you've lost every last little trace of journalistic desire to respect the truth, if indeed you ever had any. Your little empathy-deprived brain wouldn't know the first thing about growing up in a multi-racial family.
