Obama and Big Government

There are no disciples of small government in the Democratic Party, and Barack Obama fits right in. His economic program is based on the assumption that the economy is to the president what a marionette is to a puppeteer, requiring his direction and responding to his every wish.

I have also had the thought, in resignation, that Obama might not be too bad. However, this article misses a couple of important points. First, the estimated cost of Obama's social programs is enormous. Second, he would take office along with large Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress. I fear that, together, they will move us along the road to socialism. This is different from when Bill Clinton was in office with a Republican Congress and we had (fortunately) legislative gridlock.
