Sir;...The fact that the crackers in Georgia have their heads in their horns shouldn't offer great hope to the republican party... That is the way it has always been, and it does not matter that the civil war is still on down there, or that white men South went McCain in spades, because if nothing interrups their thought they will continue to think nothing... We all demonstrate that it is easier to change the climate of the world than to change human behavior... I am not going to make them change, but reality will catch up to them, and then it will be only a matter of time... Speaking for humanity, we will welcome them back, and you too... And just to show I bear no prejudice; there are some good people in Georgia, and they carry the red necks well, and though I would not want to be them, I do admire their patience... ... You know; this reminds me of a story... The snow bird end of our family lives in Florida, and my younger brother Mick had a girl friend for a while who was from Georgia... Now, my brother is no slouch, a good man, a hard worker, intelligent, healthy, and literally at the top of his trade, and he took good care of this girl and her two kids... But one time he went up to Georgia to meet the folks, and the first thing out of her Baptist father's mouth was: What religion are you... My brother said: Catholic... And that guy asked him if he had ever considered becoming a Christian... There he is, caring for his daughter and helping to support his two grandchildren who were not much, and he says my kid brother isn't a Christian because he is a Catholic... Honestly; if that had been me, that girl could have walked home because I would have been leaving....Thanks... And take hope... Ignorance is alway a more enduring quality than intelligence, so there is some hope everywhere for the republicans.. .....Sweeney
