“Romney's biggest problem is that he's a beige businessman, a slick-haired corporate higher-up widely perceived as a flip-flopper.” – No, that's what the liberal media wants you to believe and what they've promoted from the beginning. Romney is much less of a flip-flopper than McCain, but the pro-Hillary, pro-big-govt. media doesn't promote that. You even said later in this same article that “Romney has been more consistent on policy than McCain ...” confirming that what you state as "perception" isn't reality, but that the enemy media is influencing you. Romney's biggest problem is people like Ben Shapiro getting news from those who are anti-Republican, then parroting it in goofy, badly researched “commentary” articles.
“McCain has the image conservatives want” – Definitely not! Very few Republicans want to nominate an old, cranky liberal.
“[Romney's] personal shortcomings will cripple him in a general election” – And what were those “shortcomings” again? He looks too slick? He hasn't posed for photos in a flannel shirt? Amazing definitions of shortcomings.
“He needs to muss his hair, don a flannel shirt and a pair of jeans, grab a photographer and go dig a hole somewhere” – Maybe you should do some homework before you pontificate: there are several videos online of Mitt water skiing, working on his lawn, playing with his family. Any teenager can go to YouTube and find them in two minutes.
Too lazy to do proper homework, relying on the anti-Republican media for information, and judging a presidential candidate based on his “style” instead of character issues like morality, work ethic, and devotion to principles: these are not only Romney's biggest problems, they're why America is in decline. I'm sad Ben Shapiro has confirmed this once again and contributed to the problem instead of helping to solve it.
