OH MY, that dreadful Lewis Black! What HASN'T Lewis Black done? Oh, yeah! He hasn't signed a hands-off agreement with Hitler. And he hasn't raped hundreds (thousands?) of boys and girls and hid the perpetrators from the law. And he isn't going to prison for life for handing people over to be chopped to pieces by machetes. And he hasn't burned anyone at the stake, or accused Jews of killing God, or launched any crusades, or claimed the sun revolves around the earth because that's what the Bible says, or founded the Inquisition, condemned Galileo, baptized heathens at the point of a sword, or declared war on other Christians.
So on a scale of 1 to 10, it looks like Black's sins come in at about a 0.001 for saying "fuck" a bunch of times. Up until the early 4th century, the Romans were taking self-confessed Christians off for summary execution. Now that's an idea we may want to seriously revisit.
