When Michael Vick completes home confinement in July, he will have served the 23-month prison sentence imposed after he pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges.

After his release from a Kansas prison Wednesday, he headed to his home in Virginia to serve the final two months under home confinement because all the beds at halfway houses in the area are taken.

Mr. Martin is correct. I have no particular use for Michael Vick, period. Nevertheless, he has paid for his crimes. That is the idea of incarceration. If he can make it back into the NFL, that's fine. Even that is not guaranteed. The problem he will face in the future is the whinny, child-like PETA groupies. Their inability to reason beyond narrow limits is profound and shows a lack of intellectual understanding of too much to mention. Go save starving children. Whoops, that is not on your agenda. Let it go. Vick paid a price.
