My sympathies are with you, but possibly when Ben-Gurion signed an agreement w/W. Germany, maybe he was called an emissary of evil? When Britain backed out and the UN stepped in, many others could have been perceived in this way. I will point out that Jacob is the main character and the many religious and historical sites and stories giving the Jews of Israel the impetus to fight on, just as the religious beliefs or sense of entitlement of other nations give them the impetus to fight on. I don't claim to understand the mind-set, I do believe it's wrong. Whether Carter is polishing his legacy or whether he actually believes he is right, and I tend to believe the latter. At his age, and with his religious beliefs, you'd better believe he's thinking he'll have some "splaining" to do. Only God know's a man's heart. I believe he believes it's the Christian thing to do and that he believes he is trying to promote and speak peace. That you and others may see it as planting seeds of destruction is the opposing, non-trusting, view. Our lack of agreement individually and collectively is our human nature. But your holy books state explicitly that God's will will be done. As long as man continues to ignore humanity's collective cry there will be no peace, blood will continue to be shed. Not because we don't trust each other, but because man doesn't trust God.
