Not to disregard the content of your article, but speeches don't reflect a speaker's knowledge or understanding or even their intelligence. Credit for a speech should go where it belongs, upon those who actually formulate the speech. Big money is spent on staff who's entire purpose is to write politically correct speeches slanted in the direction of whatever or whoever is the topic of the moment. Heap kudo's upon Palin's speech writers and her "handlers"... congratulate them. They are politically savvy, they formulate the speech and Palin is the mouthpiece. Enough allready. Political speeches are designed to pander to the popular view and elevate the speaker. They reflect the writing capabilities of those who formulated the speech and the communication skills of the speaker. In this case, just having her name to a speech you consider great has elevated her political status. No wonder there is so much confusion and disappointment. Many people just like you will credit her for something she never wrote or even said. How do I know she didn't write it? How do you know she did...? Blind leading the blind.
