I was just talking about this yesterday. Can you please explain to me how and why Israel has so much power over the US? I realize it is total and unabashed but why? Washington is not even trying to hide it. Thanks.

We are a super power if debt, arrogance, number of killing machines and ignorance are super power attributes. OK, I'll throw in large waist lines and women's breasts. Gianni, most foreign policy is decided not on national interests, but by who has access to power behind the scenes. In D.C., there is simply no comparison between the Israeli lobby and any corresponding Arab/Muslim lobby in terms of influence. There are also matters of race and religion, not to mention the Holocaust, which explain why what happens, happens. President Clinton was the first American president to meet with any Arab-American group sometime in the 1990's; can you imagine any other ethnic group having to have waited so long for a meeting?
