The real reason the libs want the inauguration "sooner rather than later" is that they are afraid that something will come up that will prevent 0bama from being elected - by the Electoral College. 0bama still is not the "official" president-elect, not until the Electoral College does its thing. If it turns out he was indeed born in Kenya, or maybe had a little more to do with Rezko or Blagojevich or some other shady character, he could either be labeled "unqualified", in which case he could not be inaugurated (and we get President Biden!!), or if too many other criminal connections are made he might not make it to inauguration, and the libs world would go straight down the tubes.
Once he gets in office, he will be virtually untouchable, so they are looking for insurance because they know their guy is not pure as the falling snow.
