In Defense of Lobbyists

Barack Obama has long said that his campaign will not accept contributions from lobbyists, and now that he is the presumptive nominee, the Democratic National Committee won't accept them, either.

John McCain says that his campaign won't employ lobbyists, and volunteers are now queried about possible lobbying activity in the past. It's only a matter of time until someone calls for a law requiring every lobbyist to paint a big, red "L" on his forehead.

What an idiot you are Barone. The issue is money, not lobbyists. Characterizing the controversy as one about those who are hired to advocate is just one more example of the abject intellectual destitution of prostitutes in the media like you who specialize in selling mediocrity. It's the money, stupid. You're getting enough of it yourself by doing the exact same thing to know that. Give me a breakdown of how much money is being collected by a lobbyist from each of his top 10 clients and I will tell you how much democracy is being auctioned off in the process.
