Husbands Create More Housework? Shocking!

Here's a question to get the thunder rolling in marriages across the country: How much housework do husbands create?

My friend John passed along news of a recent study out of the University of Michigan meant to answer that very question.

Thanks for your column on this subject, it has always been a source of great discussion in our house. I have not seen the Michigan study but I would like to know how the study handled stay at home spouse (male or female) in determining the results of 27 hours per week of housework for wives and 10 hours for husbands. In our house my wife has stayed at home throughout the lives of our and has therefore had more opportunity to perform the housework than myself.
