Sir;... I have to wonder if any of your M&M generals ever read any of the classic liturature of war... Every mistake possible to make has been made in the last eight years, and every warning issued by the likes of Fredrick the Great, or Sun-tzu and a variety of others in between thas been disregarded in an attempt to pass away American power as quickly as it could be produced.... What do they teach at West Point besides ideology and engineering??? Because in my book, those people are trusting too much in God, and not using their brains... Making war is an expensive and dangerous business, and if they don't make generals with the guts to tell piss ant politicians from Texas which way is up, then don't try to coat it all with glory gravy, and try to make it look pretty... It is not pretty, but it is obscene, to go so far and spend so much and take so many lives with so little promise of success... It is honorable to follow honorable orders... It is honorable to give intelligent and well considered orders... But to die for nothing, or to make yourself a cripple in a land that cares nothing for cripples is a profound demonstration of stupidity... We can forgive the young who too often act out of ignorance, and out of the drive of frustration, fear, and raging hormones. .. How the generals forgive themselves, and how you forgive yourself for your part in this criminal nonsense does not intrigue me in the least; because I do not forgive you... What you do is wrong, and the fact that you continue with it shows you are incorrigible... You guys are not a military... You are better at wrecking our defense than forming one...
