I often agree with Froma but I am afraid this is nothing more than a rather tried attempt at rationalization of justification. It wasn't that few objected when Cheney and co. started talking about the dark side, it was you who failed to object. I and many others did so and have continued to since. We objected to the rounding up of "suspects" immediately after 9/11, we objected to Gitmo, we objected to wire-tapping etc. There has been a large, large body of the American public that has been consistent throughout on this, please don't lump us in with you and the others who understandably let your fear get the better of your senses.

People make mistakes, own it. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you learn but rationalization doesn't prevent this from happening the next time.

Will Holder consider how much the Nation owes CIA and all other security agencies in their fight against Islamic terrorists? And how much more will be owed in the future, since this fight will not end so soon. In fact, it might never end. Islamists have a line of conduct aimed at destroying all those that oppose Mohammed's teachings and especially his strange mentality. Jihad is not a legend, not for the people whose blood is being spilled mercilessly by terrorists in the name of Allah the Merciful.

Has Froma read "Triple Cross", by Peter Lance? Ramzi Yousef had expected one WTC tower to fall into the next, and bring it down. He told the FBI people who brought him to the U.S that he would do it right next time. He's in Supermax,
and no one, not even Congress has been allowed to talk to him. Or to Gregory Scarpa, Jr., who passed Ramzi's drawings on how to bring a plane down in mid-air, on to the Patrick Fitzgerald, among many others, Lance claims. The FBI, CIA,
Jttf, SDNY, etc., seems to have had plenty of warnings, from al-Qaeda's first attack in the U.S in 1990, and Lance tells about all of them, and he shows copies of the documents. 3000 Americans were killed horribly, and no proper investigation was done? Eric Holder didn't know back then, about all that Lance tells? Shouldn't he check it out now?
What happened to Ellen Mariani's lawsuit? Perhaps Froma could interview her, and the other family members who put their list of questions in Jim Marrs' book, "Inside Job".
