I happened to read your commentary for Thursday 21,2011. I am very sad as to why everyone has to always include in almost every article their is about sex offenders that they always prey upon children. I am a registered sex offender who was wrongly convicted of a crime that I did not commit. This crime had nothing to do whatsoever with children. I was accused of touching a 50 year old downs syndrome woman through her clothing on her breasts. When I was arrested I was asked if I would submit a D.N.A. sample which was never even admitted into the courtroom when I was convicted. The so-called "victim" was also given a rape-kit at the hospital where she was taken after the allegation, to which this was never admitted either. I had a clean record for 39 years and now I am a registered sex offender who has completed 54 months in prison and am now on post-prison supervision for 46 months and then I must register for the rest of my life. I will never have a productive life again and am not allowed to go anywhere near children or where they may congregate although my so-called crime does not involve children.
