I understand your concerns with the buffoons in Congress and the media and I'm probably one of the few that watched your entire ordeal re: Iran/Contra. Could there possibly be some history there? How can you try to equate World War 11 with the fiasco that is Iraq? World War 11 was being fought by our allies long before the attack on Pearl Harbor and there was clear, defined enemy nations and allies. We didn't enter that war with a wink and a nod and a guess, and possibly false, some say contrived reasons. We were attacked in our homeland true enough, but there are few other comparisons. Don't even try to compare this administration with the true heros that guided us through the World Wars. They were great men and great leaders. Today, lives are being lost, bodies are maimed, civilians and military die daily and the Iraq people's homeland is being destroyed. All this because our President wanted to oust Saddam Hussein, declared war with little to no justification and no one to this day can explain why? The concern is expressed by Cheney when told the country is against this contrived war, he said, "so?". The American public still doesn't know who the enemy is. Iraq? The deceased Sadam Hussein? Osama Bin Laden? Or, any number of terrorists cells located in any number of countries? There are many difference between the people who sit in government today and those who were in power during the course of World War 11. In that the allies were seeking to wrest power from invaders and the Hitler regime and give the countries back to the people and governments, not try to make them a puppet nation for the US. We didn't insist on converting them from Communism or Socialism to "democratic freedom". This response to an attack on our homeland came from the Bucheny's, who ignored all their advisor's, and took it upon themselves to declare war on a nation and dictator with whom they had an axe to grind and were seeking to take power and control of a country strategically situated and rich in oil. General P will continue to be a spokesman for Busheny's war until he, like so many others, finally gets it. Then he will be no longer and someone else will be their spokesman.
