Ma'am;.. When Bryan ran against Mckinley in 1896, The Morning News in Wilmington, Delaware; wrote on Nov. 3, that the Harland and Hollingsworth company of this city have recieved a contract for a boat costing $300,000. one clause of the contract provides that in the event of Bryan's election the contract shall be cancelled. If the boat is built here, $160000 of its cost would be paid to Wilmington workmen for wages... The corporation wanting the boat feels that it would not be justified in having it constructed if Bryan should become president... ... Workmen were paid off on Saturday night before the election, Bryan reported, and notified that they might expect work on wednesday morning in case of Mr. Mckinley's election, but that they need not return if he was not elected... ... And doesn't that all go to show that times change but tactics remain the same... If you have the working people over a barrel, never ever let them up... I just think they are going to punch that fear button one too many times and have all the scare blow up in their faces.... Once you reduce people to the point were they have nothing to lose, or feel that way, trying to control them with fear is really dangerous. ... . The story, is from Jumbos and Jackasses, A popular history of the political wars by Edwin P. Hoyt, Jr... Doubleday & company, inc. 1960.... Thanks... Sweeney

Perhaps that doctor was just a realist. He surely makes more than 250K, so he may not be able to afford all of his staff after Obama decides to steal his money and re-distribute it. We're going to see plenty of people laid-off after Pres. Obama tries to squeeze blood from turnips to pay for his socialist policies. On the plus side, at least those people that lose their jobs will still get 'tax cuts' on the taxes they won't be paying.
