I live in Texas and have been a supporter of Bush from day-one so don't take me wrong here. You said several times it was not Bush who let the nation down, "he was let down by those he relied upon to provide him with accurate information...." That's no doubt very true but it does not absolve Bush. As a leader, he is responsible for what his administration does and does not do, period. If you give him credit for the good things, he also gets the blame for the bad things, and the nation has been let down in several ways. Not that anyone else would have done any better. I just wished he had shown more backbone when dealing with the media and the democrats. He lets people walk over him. Had he been more forceful and set the record straight from time-to-time, he would have a better reputation, and higher poll numbers, today. He'll still do fine historically.
