Mr. Norris, you are SO RIGHT about guns, and you couldn't be MORE WRONG about gays. First, it should be self-evident that the Second Amendment protects the right of private citizens to own firearms. "The right of the people" means exactly that. Rights, by definition, belong to individuals, not groups or the people collectively. Where does the amendment say that ONLY members of "a well-regulated militia" may own guns? Of course, it says no such thing. Now, about the gay thing: While there is legitimate debate about how much and at what age children should learn about human sexuality, the idea of "promoting" the "homosexual lifestyle" is absurd. It's like accusing someone of promoting the left-handed lifestyle. And seriously, are you invoking the words of America's Founders regarding "sexual deviance"? That was the EIGHTEENTH GODDAMN CENTURY, for crying out loud. If we had kept the moral values of the time when the Constitution was written, we'd still have slavery, women wouldn't be able to vote, hold public office or own property, and children would be the virtual chattel of their parents, with no legal protections against abuse. By the way (and getting a bit off topic), since you seem to be so keen on nostalgia for America's past, before 1915 there was no such thing as an illegal drug. The Founding Fathers would be horrified at the money, time and manpower we spend on the futile effort to stop drug smuggling, and on arresting and incarcerating people who use intoxicants that arbitrarily fall on the wrong side of the law. If you really want to turn back the clock to a simpler time of less government regulation and interference in people's lives, private use and possession of all drugs should be decriminalized. Would you be in favor of that?

The best education in evaluating homosexuality is to watch the San Fransisco gay parade. Is that an example of sane behavior ? Pedophelia is also a strong drive. Does that make it normal ? The gay lradership should promote mental therapy rather than enticing more people into a dead end life , a neutered life.

When will you realize you have been brain washed by your christian leaders? When will christians stop trying to force their limited understanding of Jesus on the uneducated and undereducated masses? They won't. It's a huge moneymaker. Their coffers are swelling. Do some reading on comparative religion, or religious anthropology. Don't limit yourself. And when you do, you may realize the majority of Christians have been misled as to what the message is. When will you realize that you are gay bashing, like a witch hunt. What do you fear? Don't you know, "what you do to the least of my brother's, you do to me" ? Do you really believe that gay bashing from the pulpit or an opinion forum will grant you a favored place with our great God? Do you really believe that raising a child without explaining that sexual desire is a powerful force, but that perversion has nothing to do with heterosexual or homosexual tendancies. The real deviants are in the news when they are caught it is full of true sexual deviants. Perversions commited by priests, parents, family, friends, strangers and these savage crimes are commited by heterosexuals and homosexuals, male and female, young and old. Teach your children well.
