I have heard from friends in Los Angeles about Larry Elder, but this is really the first time that I had a chance to read his writing and try to grasp his ability to do critical thinking. Based on what I have just read, Mr. Elder is a self-hating Black man who is willing to do any bidding by the White community so as to promote his own persona for the media. White people love Blacks who castigate their own race; it gives legitimacy to their own hatred of the Black man. The White media establishment seeks out these poorly educated glib Blacks who have the "chutzpah" to speak negatively about their own kind. He is no different than Clarence Thomas who lets us all know that sleeping White illuminate who he really is at his core.
Mr. Elder proves my point. He does not have an original thought in his head, he parrots what he thinks will ingratiate him with the White elite, and he does it with "rabid" enthusiasm. How sad that a man who could elevate the whole Black community through his media advantage, chooses to denigrate the new President-elect with trite sayings from others. He is the classic betrayer of his race. Republicans are an exclusive bunch; they would exclude Mr. Elder quickly if manifested any signs of supportive intellectual independence about Mr. Obama. He is the sad case that our parents all warned us about befriending because he would stab one of his own in the back to receive a medal from a White man.
