Giving Idiots a Veto

In 1729, Jonathan Swift published an essay titled "A Modest Proposal: For Preventing the Children of Poor People in Ireland From Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Publick."

The essay suggested that Irish parents could alleviate their poverty by selling their children to be eaten by the wealthy.

I think the cover upset the Obamas, because the artwork is closer to the truth of who they are, then they'd like us to believe. Obama definitely HAS Muslim elements in his past, his wife IS an anti-American terrorist, and they DO want to burn the American flag. Maybe you shouldn't take it for granted that it's such great satire; sometimes such humor hits a little too close to the truth, eh?
