Sir;.... No one gets elected telling the world that the problems ahead are more complicated than can be solved... And the problem can be solved... And the Guantonimo Bay hell hole can be closed... Don't you worry Mr Conservative... It is too late to clean up our image with anyone; and perhaps that is not even the goal... Maybe we want those people to know that no quarter will be given... Does it matter that they have no uniforms???Well invade America and I would fight, even without a uniform or a weapon...But it is a serious business to tell people you will give them no humanity, because without humanity you have no common ground for peace... Now maybe we have picked up the Israeli model, and made it our own... Maybe we have decided on eternal war punctuated by fitful peace... We have not yet embraced the need for total destruction of the Muslim...We want a living enemy to make a free market... But to torture, to humiliate, to degrade, and demean them- means they will never support us by buying our products...Nor will they buy our version of democracy, or our Western Law..They will hate us more and more, and trust us less and less until we will discover we will have to nuke them all because we can no longer afford to fight them... So much for being an ally of Israel; and on with being their servant... It is the way of the future... Closing Guantonomo Bay is easy... Closing the wounds we have caused with very little thought, in Iraq, and elsewhere will prove impossible...Surely, Mr. Obama is asking himself why we should bother to try... Why not tear up their trust with an eight bottom plow??? There is nothing we can do now to make our relationship worse, except perhaps to not change our ways; and continue on and on and on until we chance to glimpse our visage in the eyes of the damned, and see we have become the hands of hell...Close Guantonamo, and fool no one...
